3 Piece Garniture Ormolu Gilded Bronze Patina 19th Century


Three piece garniture featuring ormolu gilded bronze mounted and bronze patina clock and two seven-light candelabra. 19th Century, French.

Clock and candelabra bases are rouge marble, the clock with a male bust set atop the base in bronze patina; the candelabra with branch and foliate stylized design in bronze patina set atop the base.

Made as a three piece set, signed by the artist, and given to the registrar of mortgages for the district of Rivelles in France.

Decorative bronze mounted ormolu gilding surrounds the clock face, on the rouge marble base. Bronze patinaed and ormolu gilded decorative elements on the clock and candelabra bases.

Candelabra with bronze patinaed feline heads about, in whose mouths are held foliate and floral designs in bronze patina. The candelabra with round bases on which rest serpentine designs, connected to the candelabra arms with a tapered rouge marble and patina rectangular piece.

The mantel clock with tapered round base, upon which sits the finely detailed bronze patina male bust.

Measurements: Clock: 26 ½€ high, 24€ wide. Candelabra: 26 ½ high, 7€ deep.
