English Sterling Silver Georgian style Basket, 20th Century.

Made by L.A. Crichton, and dated 1915. Oval shaped basket with a swing handle on top that folds down. Basket bowl features pierced design around the edge, and around the central area in a single repeated pattern. Repeated diamond shaped pierced patterns are interspersed about the bowl surmounting the pierced design in the central area.

The base also features pierced design pattern encircling it. Beaded top edge, and beaded base edge. Chasing throughout the piece, in each pierced element, as well as between.

This piece is fully and correctly marked.

Measures 14 1/4" long, and 11" wide. The height is 4 3/4" to the rim, and the height to the extended basket handle is 11 1/2"

This sterling silver basket weighs 1,058 grams, and 34 troy ounces.
