DENNIS RODMAN Custom Haute Couture Dress Oksana Remi

This is a Custom Made Haute Couture gown designed and created by Oksana Remi of Manhattan, NY Moves Magazine's 2006 Designer of the Year, and commissioned by Dennis Rodman, retired NBA player of distinguished fame.

This glittering gown was worn by Dennis Rodman to the Celebrity Apprentice Red Carpet earlier this year, and was signed by Dennis Rodman. Both the skirt of the dress and the headpiece are signed. ( Please see photos below for signatures.) This gown was worn only once, and was specially created for this event. This is a haute couture gown that is 100% handmade by Oksana Remi.

This lovely custom-made royal blue gown is stunning, a remarkable sight to behold. The bodice is made of stretched fishnet, both front and back, with lacing up the back as a closure. The bodice front is heavily sequined in designs resembling elaborate flowers. The sequins are also royal blue, and are accented with Swarovsky crystals. The back of the bodice has sequins and swarovsky crystals on either side of the lacing. The bodice has a small strap on one side, and a wider strap on the other side, meeting in the back.

The gown's lovely draped skirt is made from stretched fishnet, layered over by royal blue silk The blue silk layers are hand draped and hand worked.

Also included is a beautiful train or cape made from hand painted tulle in lovely graduated shades of blue. The tulle is a layered ruffled creation. (Dennis Rodman wore this lovely piece as a cape at the event.)

This beautiful custom gown includes an extraordinary headpiece. The headpiece is royal blue silk with ruffled layers. The headpiece has sequins and swarovsky crystals in an elegant pattern. Hand painted tulle accents the royal blue silk beautifully. The back of the headpiece has layers of hand painted tulle in lovely cascading ruffles.

Dennis Rodman appeared on the Celebrity Apprentice in its latest season, which aired earlier this year. For the Red Carpet event, Rodman commissioned a special gown to be designed and created by Oksana Remi. After the Red Carpet event, where he posed for many photos with Oksana Remi, Tom Green, and others, he signed the gown. Oksana Remi was named Designer of the Year, 2006, by New York Moves Magazine. A quote by Oksana published in a Daily News article in 2003, ‘"For a Russian woman, it's important to look good even if she stays at home. We like to wear things that are big and wild. Our clothes have to say, 'Wow!' " said Oksana Remi, an up-and-coming Russian fashion designer.' Oksana has deisgned elaborate evening wear for fashion shows and fund raisers, such as a fund raiser for the Steps Theater Production Company.
