This is a French Marquetry panel, signed Spindler. It was made in France, in the Abbey of Saint-Leonard.

This piece is signed "Spindler" and may have been created by Charles Spindler, Paul Louis Spindler, or Jean-Charles Spindler. These marquetry panels were created from the late 1800s in the studio in Saint-Leonard in France until the present day. Every piece is completely different and unique. The nature of this style of marquetry makes it impossible to duplicate any one of them. This panel was most likely created before 1975, and so was made by either Charles Spindler or Paul Louis Spindler.

This style of marquetry panels was used by Charles Spindler during his lifetime, and his son also performed the same marquetry panel creation. It is made from wood, pieced together to create the scene.
