This is a Rare One of a Kind Elizabethan Wedding Fireplace Surround or Mantelpiece

This gorgeous fireplace surround was made by a family in the Elizabethan era for their son or daughter's marriage.

The coat of arms is unique to the family who gave this fireplace surround, and is elaborately carved into the wood of the fireplace surround.

This beautiful wood fireplace surround can be used as the front piece of a fireplace, and the fire is in the hearth behind it. The fireplace surround is in two pieces, and when assembled one on top of the other, the approximate height is 9 feet tall. The width is approximately 5 feet.

The fireplace surround is made from English Oak. The coats of arms of both families are engraved onto the fireplace surround. The detailed wood engravings and carvings are beautiful. This is an extremely rare and high quality piece.

Ormolu Gilded Marble Fireplace Surround Mantelpiece 19th Century

Ormolu gilded gray marble fireplace surround, 19th Century, French. Bronze mounted. Slight scroll decoration atop the jambs.

Front of the mantel decorated with vertical oval shapes, into which are set ormolu gilded pieces of plain decoration. At the corners are two square shaped ormolu decorative pieces with stylized foliate design.

A single thin band of ormolu decoration extends from the top to the bottom of each jamb. Decorated with leaf design set inside parallel single dot motif, ormolu gilded.

Measures 57 1/2" long, 15 1/2" deep, and 43" high.
