This is an antique 16th/ 17th Century Italian Iron Casket/ Box.

This small casket was used as a money box, and features the original lock and handle. This size of money casket or box is a very rare size.

This iron casket/ box is Italian, made in Venice, Italy, is mounted on velvet. The key is missing, and the box is not locked. One of the hinges on the back of the box is bent. This piece contains the original dowels and nails. This box is all original, including the iron. This is a very rare 17th Century money or trinket box.

This piece meaures 4 1/2" deep by 7 1/2" wide, by 5" high.
