Louis Philippe style Commode 3 Drawer. French, 19th Century, circa 1840.

Rectangular commode with 3 drawers divided by wood strips. Metal pulls in a fleur-de-lis reminiscent shape, but with carved stylized fruit and floral decorations as the petals. Pull attached at the central portion, with stylized birds in relief, joined together at the bottom by stylized fruit and floral designs.

Each of three drawers with central lock, surrounded by stylized floral (mainly rose) designs, carved in relief as bouquets, joined together at the central bottom.

Commode is burl walnut veneer with gray marble top veined with white. Commode rests upon heavy square feet. Dovetailed drawers.

Measures 47 3/4” by 22”, 30” high.
