European hand painted enamelled beaker, 19th Century.

Hand painted with biblical scenes, saints, angels, and Christ.

Probably Russian in origin, most likely from the 19th Century, though possibly earlier. Hand blown glass beaker.

Four main scenes in larger sections around the cup include scenes of the Father enthroned, Michael the archangel, Christ entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, and Christ performing miracles. Around and above these larger scenes are smaller paintings of saints and prophets. Each scene is bordered with gold paint, and surrounded by other colors, along with small dots and decorative elements.

This beaker is an antique religious artifact.

This is a beautiful Letter Opener made of Mother of Pearl, Agate, and metal.

The metal on the handle is either silver or silver bronze, and it is inset with many different semi-precious stones. It contains cabuchon or carnelian, an elegant agate blade, and a ruby or other semi-precious stone set in the center of the handle.

The ornate handle is made from Mother of Pearl shaped like a nautilus, and the metal surrounding the Mother of Pearl is elaborately decorated. The back of the handle contains the signature "Orfaley" This letter opener was most likely made in the early 20th Century.

The blade is made from a piece of multicolored agate. The agate contains swirls of blue and orange, with the blue color making up most of the blade.

Rough handmade barrel shaped central piece, with three curved legs. Candle holder is made of iron, except for the central piece, which is made from a single block of wood, possibly a segment of a tree branch.

A thin central piece of iron surmounts the central wood piece, which is surmounted by a candle holder, which contains a yellow tallow candle. Provenance is unknown, and though it is most likely American, such cannot be guaranteed.

Signed with the initials I.H. in large letters on the side of the wood base.

This is an antique Painting of the Madonna and Child.

This painting is 17th or 18th Century Spanish Colonial. This painting shows the Madonna and Child in the foreground, with sea monsters, angels, lambs, and other beings in the background. TRhe lambs are bringing roses to the Madonna.

This painting was probably made in one of the Spanish colonies such as South America. The original painting was mounted to masonite during a restoration sometime in the 20th Century. There is an inscription of some sort on this painting that appears to say "Warin". A painter and sculptor by the name of Warin lived in France and Canada in the 17th Century. It is unknown what this inscription means.

This painting measures 21 3/4" by 29 1/2" tall. The frame measures 30" wide and 36" high.

This central image is a Christogram, used in the early church. The letters IHS are a transliteration of the first three letters of Jesus from Greek into Latin, and the cross was often represented with these three letters.

This lovely communion cup may be marked, but the markings have been covered by a tag from a prior seller of the item. It is painted white with handles at the sides. The interior design is painted in blue. There is some wear to the edges of this porcelain communion cup.

This is an antique Hand Colored Wood Cut of an Astronomer viewing the heavens from a rare book titled "A History of the World" by DioDorus Seculus.

This hand colored woodcut was created in the 16th Century. It was printed on early rag paper with a printing technique used at the time. A woodcut was used to produce this image on rag paper, which was then hand colored.

The front of the woodcut depicts and astronomer viewing the heavens, with text around the picture. The back depicts a large dragon, again with words around the picture. The words are printed in calligraphy, and they are in an unknown language.

This beautiful and vibrant woodcut was from the edition of the book printed in Basel, Switzerland in circa 1580. This woodcut on rag paper is mounted on a matte.

This Jug is an Armorial Bellarmine A Frechen jug. These jugs were most likely named after the unpopular Cardinal Bellarmine who lived from 1542 - 1621. According to Wikipedia, he was a Roman Catholic theologian, and was a leader of the counter reformation. These jugs are salt glazed, a process whereby salt is put into a kiln during firing, where a reaction occurs, creating the glaze.

This jug features the distinctive bearded face, and a floral relief decoration below it.
