This is an antique 18th Century Turkish/ Islamic Hnad-Stitched Velvet Table Runner

This beautiful table runner has a main color of purple, and is hand-embroidered with gold metallic thread. This table runner also has a lovely border made from 18th Century silver bullion metallic thread.

The intricate and beautiful design features stars and moons, as well as very intricate swirled designs over the whole piece.

The silver bullion border may have been added later, and is also hand-embroidered and hand-stitched.
