Rococo Chandelier 8 Arm Gilded French 20th Century

Rococo style 8 arm gilded chandelier. French, 20th Century, circa 1900.

The baluster crowned at the top by a stylized floral carved and gilded piece, fitted into a column like piece below. The column portion fitted into a bulbous central carved and gilded piece, below which is a vasiform portion, also carved and gilded wood with stylized floral and foliate designs throughout.

Filigreed branches set into the arm plate at the top of the vasiform portion of the baluster, filigreed and decorated with stylized foliate design. Fitted at the ends of the branches are bobeches resembling stylized floral designs, into which are set the candle nozzles and modern chandelier type lights.

Lamp is electrified for use in American homes. Chandelier is of carved wood and metal that has been painted white and gilded.

Measures 24" high and 28" wide.
