Directoire Open Arm Chair French 19th Century Cherry Wood

Directoire style open arm chair in cherry wood. French, 19th Century, circa 1820.

Open arms connect to the chair back at the center of the back, with slight backward curve to the seat back. Upper back of the chair has slightly scrolled tops at the sides. Stylized designs at the junction point between the arms and the chair back. Small open space between the back and seat of the chair.

Plaid upholstery in green, red, and white with metal beads bordering the seat back on all sides, and the seat of the chair where the upholstery meets the wood. Slightly tapered legs, the back legs with a slight curve.

Measures 23 1/2" wide, 24" deep, and 35" high. Excellent condition.
