Charles X Classical Candelabra Pair Bronze French 19th Century

Charles X Classical pair of six-light candelabra. French, early 19th Century, circa 1830.

Central column stem connects at the bottom to three stylized animal legs whose knees are decorated with jaguar faces, terminating in claw feet. Beneath the column and between the legs, a stylized foliate design. Center of the column is divided by carved stylized design, to which is attached a ring, which holds the terminations of five chains, hanging from each of the branches of the candelabra.

Five branches from the center in a star shape, with candle nozzles carved in stylized relief designs, with removable central cups.

Measure 24 1/2" high, 7" wide.
